On November 7th 2013, Villa Clementina, together with 15 other projects in Flanders, were recognized as a Center for Inclusive Day-care.

As much as possible in the society and as little as possible exceptional and individual, this is the starting point of the note ‘Perspective 2020’ from the minister of Welfare, Public Health and Family, Jo Vandeurzen, concerning the support policy for people with disabilities.

The minister wants a society where all children have a place by founding Centers for Inclusive Day-care and starting this with the littlest ones: everybody is welcome in the day-care, including the children with special needs. Just like other children they want to play with friends and discover new things together. As a Center for Inclusive Day-care other initiatives, recognized by Kind en Gezin, can request us to assist them, with free of charge, guidance in the fascinating process of inclusive shelter. By means of intense, learning networks and also following specific request, searching together, we facilitate the integration of children with additional care needs.
